This is happening here in Sydney Australia too. Developers just can't resist building on "natural sand dunes" We need sand shift from the dunes to replenish the beach area. Naturally, sand is sucked out to sea when we have big seas and is replenished again in smaller swells and winds. What is the developers answer?..... "BUILD BLOODY BIG SEA WALLS " and then the beach and surrounds are damaged and gouged forever. Go on UA-cam and take a look at Collaroy N.S.W when we had the big swells. Developers........."Pure Lunacy" in the quest for an almighty dollar at any cost

I had the pleasure of surfing J Bay a number of times 1999-2000 while working in the Eastern Cape. One of my fondest was a twilight surf similar to what you posted. No video to remind me but you just have. Thank you bhuti

Thanks for the videos! What website do you use to look at the forecast for JBay? I am thinking about pulling the trigger on a solo trip to JBay for 3 weeks this July. Do you think that there is a decent chance that I could score some great sessions in that period of time? Sorry for asking, but I know from your videos that the start of the winter season has not been great, so I am really unsure about pulling the trigger on the trip given the long travel time and large expense of getting to JBay. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!
